Awkward No More

If you follow me, than you probably recall this blog post of my super awkward living room layout and the winning design solution here.

Now that the house if finished, I am sharing all the fabulous photos of the incredible transformation.

I am also sharing all the links to everything in the space, so take out your pencil or bookmark these for future reference.

I first want to share a before photos of this space - because the transformation of this room is mind blowing.

To be quite honest, I was concerned about this space, but it ended up looking so cozy, comfortable, and relaxing. Exactly what I aimed for.

The layout was such a challenge, but the design and selections of the space really are inviting. Soft colors, neutral tones, warm wood tones, sage green walls are what truly set the mood in the space.

Engineered wood floors from BuildDirect.com

I added a feature wall with the fantastic wallpaper from Cole and Sons that adds a really nice natural feel.

The wall color is Benjamin Moore - AF-455 Croquet

I purchased 4x12 limestone tiles from Home Depot, and hearth tile from the Tile Shop.

Fireplace mantle is a driftwood Vail shelf from Mantel Direct.

Sofa is custom from Rowe, with upgraded cushion and a fabric I selected form Rowe that is kid and pet friendly, durable, stain and odor resistant, and moisture resistant.

The large chairs are from Bob's Furniture store and they are as comfortable as they look.

Media unit is from Pottery Barn - it is a modular unit so you can mix and match different configurations. It comes in different finishes, this one is Tuscan Chestnut.

End tables and coffee table, and sofa table are from Magnussen.

Area rug is from Wayfair.

Decorative accessories are from Target (tall glass vase and faux leaves), Home Goods, and fiddle leaf trees are from QVC.

Happy decorating!

XO, Sonja
